Sausage Cheddar Balls

Can anyone remember the first time they had these? I know there were Christmas lights twinkling and people laughing. I had to be very little, but I know they have ALWAYS been a Christmas Staple in our family. I know Christmas is months away, but I felt like a rebel today!

Honey Mustard is really their best friend….. just saying!

Grocery List!

Bisquick ( 2 cups)

Shredded Cheddar Cheese ( 1 heaping cup)

Cream Cheese ( Full Block softened)

Breakfast Sausage Roll ( 1 pd.)

Green Onion Tops ( about 2 diced thin/optional)

Red Pepper Flakes ( 1 tsp./optional)

In a stand mixer, with paddle attachment, mix the cream cheese and sausage until combined.

NOTE: do not precook the sausage.

Measure out 2 cups of Bisquick and add to the mixer and combine well on low for a minute.

Add the green onion and the red pepper ( optional ) and mix on low til combined.

Roll into balls ( use a scoop to make them all the same size) then chill in fridge for 20 minutes….

Oh, I made these “biscuits” with the bit of mix left over … hehehe!

Preheat Oven @ 350* and bake ( after chilled) for about 25 minutes.

I serve them with Honey Mustard ( optional) and they do not last long!

Enjoy!!!
